“All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.”

Karen has been practicing yoga for 25 years. She began sharing her love of yoga when she became a yoga teacher in 2005, while pregnant with
her daughter, Ava. She is currently certified in Yoga Phase I, II & III
through the American Aerobics Association.
Her teaching style emphasizes both harmony and balance, as there is a time for everything, both work and rest. For this reason, she teaches a range of classes from gentle to a more invigorating power vinyasa practice, including pranayama (breathwork) and relaxing meditation. During the practice, Karen emphasizes the Ashtanga principle of Pratyahara where the student withdraws from the outside distractions and looks inside themselves to a world of self awareness. Her students learn how to surrender and enjoy even a challenging asana. With instruction focused on proper alignment and concentrated breath, her students take a
journey to discover genuine physical and emotional well-being.
Karen is a married mother of two young adults. She was raised in
Pennsylvania and received a B.S. in Business Administration from
Gwynedd-Mercy University. Since retiring from the corporate world, she enjoys being a part-time yoga instructor, a cheese monger at The Grand Fromage, and a full-time mother. Her
interests include cooking, gardening, all things outdoors, and everything yoga!
